Trained as a food scientist, Minqi Wang specializes in alternative proteins, food biopolymers, and gut microbiome–driven biotransformation. Minqi holds a Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a bachelor’s degree from China Agricultural University. She has provided consulting and advisory services to multiple nonprofit and international organizations, including food banks, The Good Food Institute, Access to Nutrition, and multiple small businesses. She is a former chair of the Nutrition Division of IFT and a recipient of the Eugene M. Isenberg Scholar Award.
Minqi is the founder and CEO of Vavine Sound, a film/game music studio, and Ideation Foods, a food-tech company promoting cross-disciplinary innovation. She has performed internationally, including at Boston Symphony Hall and the China Institute in New York, and holds a master’s degree from Berklee College of Music.
